Why did you decide to become a travel consultant?
I want to help others – particularly families with special needs children – with travel. We have a son with multiple special needs. While we had to learn how to travel with him, it doesn’t stop us from traveling. I have learned how to be proactive in traveling and want to make sure other special needs families are equipped with the knowledge they need to make memories with their family.
Tell us about your favorite vacation.
My favorite vacation is any vacation where I am making memories with my family. It doesn’t have to be an extravagant vacation in order to make incredible memories. My favorite vacation before having children was my honeymoon. My husband and I spent over two weeks in California touring San Francisco, Yosemite, Napa Valley, and driving the Pacific Coast Highway. We even made a stop at Disneyland. Since having children, my favorite vacations are watching them make memories where I have memories as a kid – particularly at Disney World.
What destinations do you specialize in? Any areas of specialty?
Disney world and cruises – traveling with special needs children (feeding tubes, multiple food allergies, hearing loss, difficulty walking, etc).
What is your favorite Disney ride?
It isn’t a ride but the Main Street Electrical Parade is my all-time favorite. I have so many incredible memories of watching this parade with my family and now with my own children. Watching my children’s eyes light up is absolutely magical.
